Nollywood legend, Mr. Ibu, whose real name is John Okafor, has passed away at the age of 62. He breathed his last on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Evercare Hospital in Lagos. The news of his demise has left fans mourning and reminiscing about the movies in which he showcased his comedic talent.
Mr. Ibu had been battling health issues since October 2023 and had undergone multiple surgeries, including the amputation of his leg. Despite his struggles, he continued to be a beloved figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry. His passing comes less than 24 hours after the demise of another veteran Nollywood actor, Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri.
