Country music legend, Don Williams, has passed away. He was 78 years old.
Williams had a successful career as both a singer and songwriter. His songs were recorded by artists such as Kenny Rogers, Trisha Yearwood, Ricky Skaggs, and Hank Williams Jr. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001 and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012.
His best-known songs are “Tulsa Time,” “Coffee Talkin’ Woman,” and “Lord Have Mercy on My Soul.” A number of these songs became hits for other artists too.
